AI Adoption or Innovation?
The simple switch that separates AI leaders from AI users
The flood of AI updates this week sparked an insight worth sharing...(And yes, Sunday's framework is still coming!)
One of my favorite questions to ask before starting any project is: “What’s the Most Important Question (MIQ) in this situation?” (Shoutout to Shawn Twing for this, originally from Josh Waitzkin.)
When it comes to AI, one MIQ is: Are we just adopting AI, or are we innovating with it?
Two very different mindsets.
The real challenge isn’t learning how to use AI. It’s learning how to think differently with AI. It’s about reimagining what’s possible. It’s about unlearning and questioning the “best practices” and conventional wisdom we’ve always taken for granted.
Most of us instinctively treat AI like any other new tool:
We look for ways to do what we’re already doing—just faster or more efficiently.
We integrate it into existing workflows and processes.
And there’s nothing wrong with that—it’s a natural starting point.
But what if we’re missing the bigger opportunity?
What if instead…
